This set of Little Vines was written 4/17/23.
The person claiming to be Greer Greer
is actually her twin
Greer Greer. Got it?
Heat applied without much care.
There is nothing like a meatloaf
that has been cooked absentmindedly.
a scab on your knee –
like peeling wallpaper
you can’t help picking at it
Think how you can
and set me free
she stole from my purse
my malicious guardian angel
what did you think the purse was for? she said
A woman wearing pink pants and
shoes run over at the heels
frying the meat in a worn-out skillet
A saintly woman. Oh yes. Once,
she had even brought a tame worm
back from the brink of death.
Tish Flamingo’s dream
was not a premonition
and meant nothing.
I’m the re-glued sole of your shoe
I’m the bus fare you don’t have
I’m the cheap knife that’s all you can afford
But plenty good to do what you hired me for.
I designed a pattern
Sewed a beautiful pair of cat’s-paws
The cat walks in the dark
So very anonymous
what’s a volcano’s purpose
if it’s not
to make life more full of lava?
a dropped straight pin
a tiny drop of blood
He gave me
this pair of tiny pearl earrings
but he fell in love with you

6055 but this could lead to infection/potential death. Best to let it heal
Of course I love 6063. but also 6060. Somehow we think everything must have meaning. But maybe it just is, like so many of these people. (K)
In my younger days I felt everything had a message or was a sign or some such thing. Now, I rarely think so, although there are some occasions where it does seem possible. But mostly, I prefer this current life I have of thinking nothing has a meaning other than what I want to assign to it.
All meaning is assigned. Better we do it than adopting someone else’s I think.
