contretemps : DISPUTE, ARGUMENT

The wedding
The guest list expands
The budget
pushes back
Provokes quite a contretemps –
invite her or not?

shadorma 507 : 3/2/23

tactile : perceptible by touch : TANGIBLE

Fingers brush
a full skirt of hope
sewn in tight
with seed beads.
This moment, tactile and true.
Brocade wedding dress.

shadorma 513 : 3/19/23

Erin go bragh : Ireland forever

Erin go bragh? Yeah?
Green beer? I sigh. I’m Irish
by marriage only.

haiku 1084 : 3/17/23
