Clearly deranged
The neighbor sniffed
Unaware and unworldly
The stepbrother sneered
No inkling of what is proper
the coworker sighed
Sensational
the salesman beamed
and took the credit card.

Yes, I am right there with you. My uptight chic period ended, I think, with the flower girl dress I wore at age 6 at my cousin’s wedding, and since then it’s been a gradual orientation to the utilitarian/wear whatever you like style! (With a detour into Princess Diana style for work in the 1980’s).
