What We Tell You
We are old
and our edges smoothed
by the waves
that you see
today so mild so tame but
it is deception
of the sort
that sneaks up on you
and bites down
hard. Do not
be surprised. The evidence
is us. Look at us.

Yes, the edges are smoothed and the surface wrinkled!
Time writes its changes on us!
The impact upon us of time and the repetition of actions and cycles in our environment really is interesting to think about.
Yes. I was prompted by the smoothed stones at Slaughter Beach. I picked up a lot of them when we visited, each time, I am fascinated by them, and I like to hold them and feel them in my hand.
