I love the wit in the final poem, the postponement of a decision that has already been decided. I find the birds battle with the chipmunks for who is going to be loudest in the morning.
I am much more of a procrastinator in these last few years, I find – I just don’t like to close down options, or else I like the feeling of having options? Even when I already know what I’ll do…
That last one is perfection! I often make a decision then sit on it for a while to settle into it!
