More Than the Disappointment
Baked fourteen minutes
in a too hot oven no rescue in sight
the oven timer failed to ring
Now sitting on its blackened bottom
too weak to call for help
the peanut cookie fans itself and coughs.

This made me laugh. I pictured it with little arms like the M&Ms characters.
Now I’m laughing too. I like the idea.

Oh that poor cookie! This did make me chuckle though. I could imagine the wee burned thing coughing away like Tiny Tim.
Yes, poor little guy. What a fate!
I had to stifle a laugh because I’ve seen those peanut butter cookies myself. I think of them as menopausal cookies!
Oh yes, the hot flash!
