Shadorma 349, 350

From Writing Notebook 2021, published in 2022.

Little frog
Ask me if I like
singing in
the sunrise
the low twang of our voices
calling forth the day

stops the ticking clock
blank-faced and
the sweeping hands clutch at you
your fingers entwined

    • Thank you. Yes, I think we are often unaware of how much sound there is and so many rhythms all going along at once. (I like that idea, keeping time in different ways, but all of them audible).

    • Yes, I know what you mean. The same here. Even though I don’t go to an office or to school, September always seems to be when the schedule gets hold of me again.
