The monster approaches you
stops short drops down and –
rolls over. Rub his belly?
That’s what he wants you to do?

Yes, it could be. Which is nicer than what I was thinking of, a giant dinosaur-like thing. I was thinking about this situation watching a dinosaur monster movie and I wondered, what if…???
