I Don’t Need a Stylist to Tell Me
I do not need to hear that kind of talk
when I am already dealing with being
wedged inside these ill-fitting pants
way too tight in the waist
though all that talk is true
though it is certainly something I need to be told
not in these pants

I really like the attitude of this narrator.
Yes. Sometimes you have to bite back, don’t you?
You have a way of expressing yourself that I believe many, including myself, can relate to….” not needing that kind of talk… way too tight in the waist”. Perfection can reject us. Great poem Claudia!
Thank you. That makes me feel good that my words can make a connection, I always hope for that. As for perfection, as I get older now, I see how often I squeezed myself into situations because I thought it should fit. Not because it did. Time is teaching me.
I note that you received my comment ok, which was made before I wrote that post about comments. So apparently your site was working fine.
Oh good. Thank you!
