From the book published in 2021, And Don’t Come Back.
Blurred
The body in ironed pajamas
sleeping upstairs in the tidy room
Tonight its down-to-earth mind
slips out the dream window
into the warm dense
resonance
of what will not be remembered tomorrow

I like this idea of a very high-strung person (how I read this character and maybe an element of projection on my part) having the ability to enter a state of floating relaxation while asleep. It also reminds me of Marc Chagall’s figures floating dream-like in the sky.
I love your interpretation and also the mention of Chagall. That is how I think of it too, because I view sleeping and dreaming as an alternative life I am living and my waking and dreaming selves intersect, but are not the same.
To sleep so profoundly and to dream without memory!
Yes. I am lucky I am a good sleeper and I find an escape in a good night’s rest almost all the time.
