I really love the poignancy of the second poem and I think the first poem is fantastic. Seeing a T-square as a broad-shouldered person is so perfect.
I have always thought the T square looked like a person ever since I first saw one, and I also think it looks like a brace or else those items that are used to hold up ceiling drywall as it is being nailed in.
