maybe nine years is long enough
maybe sloppy drunk is
the lid off the box. Look in it.

I think the nature of the intrigue of this little snapshot from a wider narrative hinges on whether this is the beginning of the tale or its conclusion.
Yes. I am interested in the line between, when you are just thinking of something, and when you have actually done it, and that sliver in between. Because I think no matter what , this poem is the beginning of something, even if it is the end of another thing, and we are just perched right there on the line.
