These are all fabulous. I especially like the first one because I do agree that part of what makes a house a home rather than a sterile show home is that it contains the clutter and mess of our lives and that is part of its personality, an extension or complement to our own personalities.
Yes. It is our way of arranging things that makes a house a home and it’s those quirky little items I like to look for when I visit other homes.
Laura (PA Pict) took the words right out of my mouth! A home holds the chaos of thoughts and dreams and what might have beens . Once the home has been scraped out of the building it is nothing more than a vessel, a house, a container waiting for people to move their stuff in and make it a home..
Yes, that is so true. And I believe that some buildings, even empty, have developed a personality, and I don’t know if they had it before, or if it is influenced by the people and their possessions now gone, or both? It is something I like to think about.
