Yes, we had a big attic accessed by a staircase in the garage so we could play in there anytime. Even in day light it was dark in there and we often used it for acting out horror stories as well as this much more benign activity (part of our space stories sub genre of activities although sometimes we just liked doing constellations). Happy new year to you as well!

Yes, it was. No one cared that we were ther and it was perfect (if not climate controlled so it could get hot or cold depending on the season but that didn’t matter, we were always playing outside anyway) for aall sorts of games and activities.
