With You Home Safe
Late at night
in the warm house
one lamp lit
one person awake.
The mist
freezes on the window glass
in teardrop beads.
The hand
that knocks at the door
warm in a green wool glove.
The knitter
smiles.

Thank you. Best wishes to you for 2022. As for the poem I think winter is when home is at its most important and a cozy safe home in all ways is something I feel a lot of gratitude for.
There is such warmth and joy in this poem.
