Shadorma 232
Commuters
grouped on the platform
restless shapes
in the mist
backlit by the rising sun
wait for a late train

Haiku 733
I doze in the shade
wrapped in the warm heavy air
wheezing a little
9/11/19
Shadorma 233
Neighbors who
clatter out hammers
squeal up saws
Afternoon
in the shade of my backyard
I doze while they work.

Shadorma 234
My back yard
in the shade. I doze
to next door’s
staccato
hammer clatter rip saw squeal
kitchen rebuild job

There is a real sense of light and heat in these poems and also that ennui type of fatigue that sets in on hot days.
Thank you. Even though these poems were written a while back, I think I have felt this way this summer too.
