Classic
expensive car
expensive man
at the wheel of the expensive car
waits at the traffic light
expensive nail clippers in hand.
Behind the rolled-up window
he concentrates
turns his hand
fingers outspread in a maybe-maybe motion
decides
brings the clippers to the nail
gently
respectfully
squeezes the clippers
letting his expensive nail
fly where it will
inside his expensive car

Ewww!
I know. I saw this scene when stopped at a light and glancing over. Wished I hadn’t. All I could think about was, how often has this guy done this? Just ugh.
I know–and you can never unsee it. But at least you got a poem from it!
