Lip-smacking good, hollers the pirate captain
a sunburned-red bald man with a yellow smile
shoveling another glob of Velveeta into his mouth

Ahhh, the satisfactions
of chancing on the right words
and on my purse and the keys to the car
Yes. We must remember to stop and appreciate those small satisfactions. Personally, one of mine is complete avoidance of Velveeta cheese.
Yes. Yuk, Velveeta, my husband and I were talking recently about how so many casseroles included Velveeta in our childhood, mothers could not get enough of this miracle ingredient, it seemed.
Yes, to appreciating the small satisfactions–and to avoiding that pirate.
I hope every is OK.
Thank you for your good wishes. And the pirate , oh dear, will he live to an old age with what Velveeta has to be doing to his arteries?
Hard to say. Pirates live a dangerous life. I suspect it’s not that which will kill him. 😏
Those elusive keys…
I too hope things have resolved well. (K)
Thank you. And yes, those keys…where are they, why do they roam?
