A Few New: What I’ve Got So Many of and Piled In Stacks; Sure You’ve Seen Him

How about a couple of recent poems?

What I’ve Got So Many of and Piled In Stacks

a fluffy lacy shirt collar
a restless night
a typewriter
a person named Clover
a jar of mustard
two ladies
my eyeglasses
about six inches shorter
was I angry yes I was
four wives
eleven headhunters (the corporate kind)
my feet on solid ground and aching
a lucky guess
the lease agreement twice renewed
a grain of sand tipsy and hissing
a card game
a knee-length skirt
a back catalog of memories stretching to infinity

*******

Sure You’ve Seen Him

and after all I’m just waiting for a friend
fellow in a thick twill jacket
complexion tinged with an aqua wash
long thin fingers and calculating eyebrows
a briefcase with a broken lock
and documents he thinks no one else has read –
perhaps you have seen him?
