Plant You a Garden
Let the old guy
buy the seeds he wants
put them in the ground
breathe over them
or whatever he does
he’s used to planting and
the plants are used to him
your interference
upsets the balance
in this field by the side of the road
No one here knows you
everyone knows him
Let the old guy decide.
Here
he is Mother Nature.

This is a good one. Not comparing, but just saying these simple words have a profundity beyond the simple surface.
Thank you, I think for me I tend to express myself in everyday language, I don’t have the facility of a large vocabulary (I find myself so often searching for the right word…) and I think keeping things simpler helps get the poem’s message across and makes it more readable, too, which is my main aim in writing, that someone can read it and get the sense of it pretty easily.
Well …you succeed in doing that. Everyday depth and meaning! I like it. Works for me.
