Raw algae –
is there such a thing
as cooked? Oh
I hope not
it’s just what occurred to me
looking at the pond
vile green and
two inches thick in
stringy slime
Imagine
heating it straight from a can.
I run from the pond.

Yes I would run from that!
I really was wondering if there was such a thing as cooked algae and I still don’t know but I am not sure how excited I would be about eating it, though I feel pretty sure I’d try it at least. If there is such a thing as cooked algae!
I’ve never heard of eating algae except spirulina as a dried powder.. but who knows perhaps there is a culture that puts it into the pot.
