Just the notion of stacks of old newspapers gives me the heebie jeebies. I am not a minimalist by any means but that to me represents awful clutter.
I wrote this in the library looking at a (neat) stack of newspapers (that I never feel tempted to read any of them). But I also think of, many years ago, when we had a tenant who was kind of a hoarder. For some reason we had to go into the apartment when she lived there and she had, in one of those shallow but wide closets with sliding doors, filled it with several stacks of newspapers. From floor to shelf all the way across. Never saw so many papers in one place. The idea appalled me, fire hazard and so on, and also…why? why? did she do it?
