This week’s Little Vines.
Pack and tuck and clip
I’ve had a lot of success with this operation
on ready-to-wear dresses.
Never tried it on a person, though.
his mind a city
the streets of his thoughts arranged in a neat grid
criss-crossed by trash-filled back alleys
the news traveled all over
you in your jet-propelled gossip wagon
the fish can hear you
no matter how quietly you slip through the water:
you are the hook at the end of the line
Focus attention on
avoiding her and
you will run into someone even worse
a stodgy bird
lumbering through the sky and farting
Purple pigment in a bowl
Not so beautifully set
Unsteady on its feet. Don’t eat it.
a loop of purple string
a row of pink chairs
what kind of game have you got going on here?
a cow with four stomachs
a pungent yes to the appeal of antacids
I had not bargained for
sitting on a bench for four hours
in the rain in the dark
Two tiers of
coconut snow on the cake
My fork skis down the slope. Whee!
Before my mistake wasn’t discovered
I was a lot more nervous
a green field
a torrid sunrise
when you look back you realize it was redemption
With my parachute repaired I leaped from the plane
only to land on a sharp-pointed grave marker
with my name on it. Some days you just can’t win.
so modern so cheery
a random last-night mistake
standing here in my kitchen
her subtle voice
her impeccable dress and shoes
she looked at me with an expression like cold butter
on the far edge of the argument

So many great ones, but No 4733 hit me to the core, that one feels like me! 🙂
It’s like having a neat house and then a lot of stuff in the closets, I think! I envison my mind as a city and that is where this one came from.
4743–I’ve been there. K(l
Yes. Me too and I don’t know how many hours of my life I have wasted worrying about something that never happened or was discovered or even turned out to be a problem.
Indeed. Hours and hours.
