One in a String
Stole my heart
cut it into pieces
sold them at premium prices
for no reason
really
other than the thrill of it
just like breaking a kitchen window
to get into the house grab a few trinkets
and run

Great use of the robbery conceit as it really communicates that sense of violation, betrayal, and anguish.
I was thinking of that phrase, stole my heart, and people think it means a good thing, and maybe lots of times it does, but not always, and really, do you want your heart taken from you? No. So what follows in the poem does not surprise me, thieves are not nice people.
