People drift
through the vast ice field
grocery store in summer.
Air-conditioning
freezers
refrigerators
combine for
a snowfall ambiance
in which people
shiver in short sleeves.

Oh my goodness yes! I have developed severe acute headaches as a result of leaving the hot and humid outside world and entering a grocery store that has its AC set to something akin to a blast freezer.
I always have a sweater with me in the summer. I find that hilarious as I spent so much of my summers (only slightly air conditioned despite living in Tennessee, it was just not as prevalent then) wishing for cooler air…please…
I fully relate to this … my body doesn’t do well freezing in the middle of summer.
